By the beginning of August TekaChamps, the first mobile game to celebrate African football from the street to the stadium will be available to buy in over 80 countries
Together with the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, Afroes will be launching Champ Chase and the MobiChamp network on August 4th
Champ Chase has reached over 30,000 downloads on getjar. Most downloads coming from India and Indonesia.

MobiChamps are youth who champion the campaign in their own communities, generating awareness and participation amongst children and their peers using mobile phones and mobile applications.
The campaign has 17 MobiChamps stationed in communities in Gauteng, Limpopo and the NorthWest who spread the messages of the campaign and build community resiliance against child abuse. They are tasked with promoting and install the ChampChase mobile game on young people’s phones, carrying out a mobile survey on Child Protection among young people and refering young people that may be in need to the relevant child protection services.
Name: Tshepo Seloane Location: Voslorus, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Efeng Bacha Youth Group Bio: Member of Golden Key society leadership roles at UP. Currently study BCom law. Member of Vessels of Honour (arts organization that engages social issues in communities). Started prison based project called Juvenile, Vice President of Efeng Bacha, a motivational speaker. As MobiChamp would want to empower and inform youth through use of technologies
Name: Musa Mbele Location: Jabulani, Soweto, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Efeng Bacha Youth Group Bio: I have started a foundation called Sandis' Ubuntu Foundation were I serve as the Trustee and Chairperson of the board. I am also a member of Efeng Bacha and ambassador for Kholwani Primary School. I'm the former member of the Johannesburg Student Council and Journey to Parliament Foundation Chair. I am a youth activist.

Bio: Chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Children Fund Youth Club, Thabang co-owns a performing arts organization, he consults the World Economic Forum and is the Managing Director of Item 12 Trading Enterprise.

Name: Katlego Kope Location: Springs, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Efeng Bacha Youth Group Bio: I am currently a member of LoveLife as well as Efeng Bacha. I have been involved in the Youth Connection Initiative which was an organisation based in my community of Kwa-Thema which ran a life skills programme as well as Oasis Rover Crew which was involved in running HIV campaigns in my township.
Name: Reshoketswe Blantinah Mapokgole (Shoki) Location: Mankweng/Ga-Thoka, Polokwane, Limpopo Affiliated Organization: African Leadership Academy Bio: Ahighly sociable and active student, Shoki is the founder of the Kids With Insane Talent (KWIT) group at the African Leadership Academy, which has facilitated workshops on child protection with young people around Johannesburg.
Name: Reabetswe Bantobetse Location: Mafikeng, North West Affiliated Organization: African Leadership Academy Bio: An outstanding student at the African Leadership Academy and previously the Vice President of the Representative Council of Learners for South Africa, Reabetswe enjoys working with young people and is an active member of her community in Mmabatho in Mafikeng.
Name: Kwanele Mbedzi Location: Diepsloot, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Diepsloot Bophelong Sports Club Bio: I am a person who loves sports and engaging people. I am a team player and I work well in projects that require teamwork such as the MobiChamps Programme. I would like to contribute to my community’s social fibre by making people aware that even though a child is not born to you they are still your child and we as a community should be vigilant and protect our children's rights.
Name: Michael Semosa Location: Diepsloot, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Diepsloot Bophelong Sports Club Bio: I was a life skills facilitator for the TTF Foundation and I represented life skills programmes in local schools in Diepsloot. As a MobiChamp I would like to integrate the message of the Champion for Children Campaign into my sports and life skills programme that I have with children in my township.
Name: Musatondwa Mafelatshuma (Musa) Location: Thohoyandou/Sibasa, Limpopo Affiliated Organization: African Leadership Academy Bio: I am involved in the Dakhita Children's Fund initiative where orphaned children are cared for and nurtured, as well as the Thouyandou Victim Empowerment Programme, where we as youth council abused children at hospitals and police stations. My involvement in the campaign as a MobiChamp is to spread awareness about child labour in my province Limpopo, as I view this to be the most prevalent form of abuse of children's rights in this part of the country.
Name: Celeste O'Connor Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: African Leadership Academy Bio: Tutor, student government member, student-run business woman, with deeply rooted interests in public health and politics, Celeste hopes to pursue medicine in college and one day dreams of being South Africa’s Minister of Health. As a MobiChamp she is interested in the way the messages of the Champion for Children Canpaign are being delivered through Mobile technology and gaming.
Name: Nqobile Mahlangu Location: Jabulani, Soweto, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Efeng Bacha Youth Group Bio: I was a member of the SRC as an executive member, I am 'Friend of Sandisa Ubuntu Foundation' where we improve schooling environments for children as well as empower them. I am also involved in 'Soweto Comfort' where blankets are provided for children in need. As a MobiChamp I want to help improve and develop how society treats its children.
Name: Ginette Honwani Location: Diepsloot, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: Diepsloot Bophelong Sports Club Bio: I am extroverted and like to engage members in my community to involve themselves in such initiatives. As youth leader in my church I am involved in developing programmes that church youth can participate in. The campaign is a worthy initiative. I believe it can highlight challenges children face in my community as well as make champions of people who are protecting children and encourage them to continue their good work.
Name: Zuko Mata Location: Orange Farm, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: LoveLife Bio: Zuko Mata is an ambitious, motivated young South African. I have good communication skills and always excell when I work within a team environment or as an individual. I have been involved in LoveLife as well as Conquest for Life facilitating the diversion programme and the CAMP programme an initiative hosted by SABCOHA. My main paqssion is to help people.
Name: Sibusiso Ndlovu Location: Katlehong, Gauteng Affiliated Organization: LoveLife Bio: I am a part of the Katlehong community who has been active in LoveLife programmes since 2007. I have been involved in a learnership programme for Project Management for Community Development . I am a co-founder of a co-operative called Stoppers Productions which designs programmes to suite schools and organisations for sports, recreation and education. I am currently involved in youth dialogs on Kasie FM.
